Welcome To Lyracy Analytics
I cannot tell you all how excited I am to get this show on the road and begin this journey. A small “About Us” page just didn’t feel like enough to truly summarize everything so we figured a blog would be a better way to keep everyone updated on everything in business, data, AI and everything else we cover as well. This will probably be the longest post so let’s jump into it and start things out with a bang!
Who We Are and Why We Exist
Lyracy Analytics is a data and intelligence company built to seamlessly align people, process and tech. For decades, small and medium-sized businesses have been limited to fragmented tools while larger companies have had the luxury of fully integrated systems built just for them to streamline their workflows and operate with high efficiency. While technology advances, the SMB market is usually left behind by tech or given fractions of the power that the SMB market could have. Believe it or not, this is also happening with AI as well.
WE ARE CHANGING THAT
Imagine buying a car, and instead of getting the whole vehicle assembled into one piece, they mailed you each part separately. The tires, the engine, the steering wheel all delivered in pieces. Technically, you have everything you need, but you can’t drive anywhere until it’s all assembled. That’s how most businesses operate today, especially in the SMB space, using scattered tools without a connected system. The real power doesn’t come from having the parts; it comes from the connectivity of the parts working together to build an amazing product.
We take the messy and separated data and tools to create high quality insights and systems so businesses and individuals can make well informed decisions and not just based off of gut feeling. Then we optimize tools to see if we can extract even more from them than you thought possible or even suggest tools that could be a better fit that you maybe didn’t even know existed. Then we provide the visibility with powerful dashboards and command centers that amplify owners and decision makers. After building this solid foundation, we embed AI into your systems and supercharge you. AI runs off of connectivity and data so setting the right ground work is incredibly important for you to truly get the full power of AI. This fine-tunes your process and amplifies your tech, now we focus on your people.
Let me be very clear, we do not want to replace people with tech and AI. The best future is having people and AI working together to create amazing things, NOT replacing people with AI. We are going to help create the bridge for the SMB market so that there is no more getting left behind, not only in tech, but also in talent. We do that by maximizing the amazing people businesses already have and making sure we help push them with industry leading knowledge and access.
Why We Are Changing the SMB Market
As I mentioned earlier, there is a significant disconnect between the SMB market and the enterprise market. From disconnected tools, meaning you have to piece together processes just to make them work, to big corporations having billions and trillions of dollars which makes them attractive to talent because they can also pay more as well.
Most small and mid-sized businesses don’t fail because of a lack of hustle. In fact, they’re some of the hardest-working teams out there. But hustle alone isn’t enough. Having worked in many different places and types of businesses from franchises to startups, I always tried to take something from each place I worked at. The places that pushed me to grow the most were the SMB market and startup-style companies that I worked for. However, the best process and tools were in the bigger enterprise companies that I worked for. I noticed it wasn’t because people were smarter, it had more to do with how well the everyday processes integrated so well with the tools that we had creating powerful systems around us.
When I pivoted into tech, that opened my eyes to an entirely new world of what was possible and I was ready to run and land my tech role. While working with Google Fiber, I actually worked on the SMB side of the business and I heard so many different stories of how people were just piecing things together but making it work. I never forgot those stories nor my own experiences so I just asked myself a simple question. “Why don’t SMBs have the same systems and structures that enterprise-level companies have?”. Is it money? Is it knowledge? Is it just simply not doable?
That deep dive sent me into learning the different barriers that exist for SMBs and as an entrepreneur at heart, I started looking at ways to fix that. The SMB market has been put on the back burner for far too long. There is talent at this level. There is innovation at this level. The next category leaders are at this level. So we want to provide the infrastructure for them to thrive.
Why I Chose Entrepreneurship Over a huge tech salary and incredible benefits?
Tech Range Salaries Chart
I have often said you have to be the right amount of crazy to be an entrepreneur. Like not an excessive amount of crazy, but crazy enough to believe that you can create something. I had a $75K+ job and decided to go another path. I have been contacted by jobs with even higher base salaries than that but they didn’t offer what I truly wanted.
And that was the opportunity to make a REAL impact.
As you can see in the infographic on the left, these are the average salary ranges for different tech positions that it would take to do what we are doing. If we took the lowest salary range from each job, that would be a total of $343,000 a year. That is out of reach for the vast majority of the SMB market.
In a fast-changing world with AI, there are going to be a lot of significant changes in the future. The SMB markets and their teams also have to be able to move with these changes in society. But like in the past, they will be left wondering while changes are swirling all around them. That transition into the new wave is where we come in and help. We give the power of the past, present and future while helping businesses.
Again, welcome to Lyracy Analytics. We are beyond excited to get this on the road. We will continue to post on our blog because it is a place where we want to help educate and even share different things as we go. Again, this will probably be the longest post and we tried to keep it as concise as possible. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
